How to Recover a Nearly Full Computer Drive Without Deleting Personal Files

Look for categories such as applications, temporary files, downloads, documents, pictures, videos, backups, and cloud-synchronized data. Don't assume that the largest category is safe to remove. Instead of deleting recovery information immediately, check how much space it uses and whether the operating system manages it automatically.
