A charging indicator doesn’t always mean the device has enough power for pairing, so give it a short charge if you’re unsure.
Next, put the accessory into pairing mode. Turning a device on isn't always the same as making it discoverable. Restart the search before removing anything

Remove an old pairing only when necessary
If the accessory is already listed in the laptop’s saved Bluetooth devices but won’t reconnect, select it and choose the option to forget, remove, or unpair it. Then restart pairing mode and add it as a new device.
This can fix a damaged or outdated pairing record, but it also removes the saved connection. You may need to repeat the process on the accessory or on another device that used it. For that reason, remove the old pairing after checking power, pairing mode, competing connections, and basic Bluetooth settings—not before.
If the accessory has its own list of saved devices and continues choosing the wrong one, consult its instructions for clearing connections or performing a Bluetooth reset. A reset may erase every saved device, so treat it as a later option rather than a standard first step.
Consider device-specific limits
Some Bluetooth accessories don’t appear until a companion app is installed, a mode switch is set correctly, or a USB receiver is disconnected. Wireless keyboards and mice are especially easy to confuse because many models support both Bluetooth and a proprietary USB receiver. If the device came with a receiver, check whether you’re trying to use the correct connection method.
